Carla Fernandes has been dancing and performing since an early age. She was born

and raised in Rio de Janeiro; grew up dancing many different Brazilian styles, has studied

jazz, ballet and various forms of Latin American dance.

Carla currently teaches Samba, Forró, Zouk Lambada, Axé, Samba-Reggae and Funk at various

studios across Melbourne; choreographs for various groups/events and performs in the authentic

Brazilian dance group "RIOSAMBA", which she choreographs and directs.

She has performed and choreographed for many groups, including shows at the Crown Casino, former

Colonial Stadium, MCG, Olympic Opening Ceremony 2000, Private and Corporate Functions, various

Clubs and Restaurants and Festivals across Australia and overseas.

Carla has a unique style bringing passion, energy and talent. She is the embodiment of the spirit of Brazil

and if you have seen her dance you will want to learn from her.
